We are happy to announce that the project Aviation In situ measuRements of non-CO2 EMIssion Traces (AIREMIT) was just funded by SESAR Engage 2 KTN – second Call for Catalyst funding. ER srls will be the coordinator of the project which will be developed together with Aurelia srl, a spin-off of University of Pisa. The project will officially start on 1 June 2026.

AIREMIT poses an innovative approach to accurately measure non-CO2 aircraft emissions and seeks to
establish a solid framework for understanding their impact on climate change. The project aims to develop a lowcost,
balloon-based sonde (the “ClimpactSonde”) capable to measure non-CO2 emissions at cruise altitude.
